"Creativity can neither be taught nor mass-produced."
I love to write and create. I also want to share my interest in photography, gardening, family, art, decorating, Christian faith and my enjoyment and gratitude to God for creating me and allowing me to thrive in my home setting. I love making my house a home. I am determined to 'bloom where I am transplanted'.

We've been a lot of places together...

I took you to the Missouri Ozarks to visit Ozark Brother...

You've hung out with me on numerous occasions at Brother's Farm...

You met Peaches (God rest her soul)...

my favorite canine, Samme Girl and

Sis-in-law's 'girls'.

I introduced you to Handyman and showed you all the work he did.

I shared my creativity, whether it was sewing, painting,

crafts, dumpster diving, or up-cycling.

You've enjoyed my flowers and Handyman's vegetable garden.

We went on adventures to Grampa Marvin's Farm.

I shared my art work and

we enjoyed a cup of coffee (or more) together in the quiet of my home.

You loved my dog, 'No Muss, No Fuss', just as much as I did.

We had Tom Time with Tom Terrific in Tom's Town.

You cheered me on during the 2010 Winter Olympics when I was in The Luge competition...

And rejoiced with me when I proudly brought home the Gold!!

You understood when I got on my crocheted dishcloth kick...(still going strong).

You celebrated with me when I became a professional writer and blogger for www.jrliggett.com (www.jrliggettsblog.com)

And you went on over to my other blog, www.freshairlife.blogspot.com when I posted about some interesting people.

We've been through a lot together over the years; lunches and visits with Good Sally, remodeling projects, visits from the gkids, all the fun fabric and decorating stores I've been to. So much! But after 620 posts since October of 2008, I think the time has come to share a little
less--or maybe a lot less! It's time to enjoy people, places, events, and take a lot less photos and spend a lot less time in front of the computer!

So goodbye to all, thank you for being a part of my life.

A big P.S.: My lurker in Mountain View, CA, thanks so much for stopping by. Wish I knew who you were. I visited Mountain View years (and years!) ago.  I may return someday... for now, I will ride off into the sunset. However, I will be posting a story soon on www.freshairlife.blogspot.com

You will know that I understand your farewell all to well having made the same decision myself. I would say we will miss you but if I keep to my resolution to lurk a little less maybe I won't!! Take time to enjoy your non blogging time - I certainly do - and maybe we will bump into each other again sometime. Thanks for being a constant follower of my blog over the years and good luck in your new non blogging life.

Wow...I didn't realize how busy you are! No wonder your posts are so interesting. ( I really like the gold medal!!ha.)

I am starting to think that about 50% of us quit blogs and restart them at times. Good luck! and I can imagine you will have a good time living your life, as things look so nice. love, andrea

You were my first "unknown to me" blog reader and I so appreciated your words of encouragement, Joy. They gave me the confidence I needed to keep blogging. Will miss your blogposts. They were welcome visits to be sure. But I can understand the need to slow down. I've done that as well, after just my first year.

TOTALLY, get it. TOTALLY support it. I know I have not looked back in regret and the letting go did take a while. I just love that it's no longer controlling my day. But, I do enjoy my once a month pop by to a few old favorites. I laugh as I remember your Olympic posting so well and was always one of my favorites. I'm over on FB and can be reached still at thegardenbell@gmail.com
